Girl on a couch is part of a continuing project by the artist that explores the artefacts of the classical erotic photograph and presents them in a modern context that attempts to create a fresh narrative. The reclining woman is still seemingly docile and ready to be dominated by the male gaze and yet remains distant, real and unfathomable at the same time.
